Phelps did it. It was amazing. I have no idea how he can keep winning.
On the other, hand I was thoroughly disgusted with the way we're handling this 'Singapore' team in the final of the table tennis team event. At first, I thought it would at least be some medal for Singapore but I read this quote from our China-born star in Saturday's paper: "... We won't win against China". And that threw me off. Now in my mind, this Silver is totally worthless. Firstly because this is not truly Team Singapore. Secondly, as the column on that same page of the newspaper pointed out, the Silver is only worth it if we fight and make China earn their Gold. I cannot accept it that there is a likelihood that they throw this match to settle for Silver. I have to question the motivation of these China-born players in playing for Singapore's pride. And I don't this is worth postponing the National Day Rally because, for once in sport, we all know the result before the match has taken place.
